Orange minivet(തീക്കുരുവി)

നാട്ടുബുൾബുളിനോളം വലിപ്പമുള്ള കാട്ടുപക്ഷിയാണുതീക്കുരുവി . . ശ്രീലങ്ക, മലേഷ്യ, മ്യാൻമർ, ഇന്തോ-ചൈന തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ തീക്കുരുവികളെ കാണാം. ഹിമാലയ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും അസം, പഴനി, നീലഗിരി,തെക്കൻ ആർക്കോട്ട് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും ഇത്തരം പക്ഷികളുണ്ട്.നിത്യഹരിതവനങ്ങളിലും ഇലകൊഴിയും കാടുകളിലും 1200 മീ. വരെ ഉയരമുള്ള കുന്നിൻ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും ചെറുകൂട്ടങ്ങളായി ഇവയെ കാണാം.

The orange minivet is a species of bird in thecuckooshrike family, Campephagidae. It is found in southeast India andSri Lanka. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the scarlet minivet.
